'Tis the Season

Christmas eve we went over to Great Grandma Shirley's house for presents, dinner, and carols all around. She's such a talented musician. It was really fun, and Addie LOVED dancing and singing, and being the only kid there (which meant she got ALL the attention). Thanks Grandma!

Is this a beautiful family or what? How did I get so lucky?

Addie trying to play the organ. She was loving it! That's the hoodie Great Grandma got Addie for christmas! It's too cute.

Then we went back to the Brown's for Christmas Pajamas. Addie opened all of ours up of course :)

Chase asleep on the couch after presents and monkey bread. Food coma? I think so! Thanks to Jess for his amazing quilt. Doesn't leave home without it! Haha.

Look at the cute little desk Grandma and Grandpa Brown gave to Addie! We love it! THANKS!

Jord and Chels got her this awesome pink hippo tent that she wants to sleep in every night now.

Addie had the BEST reaction to all the gifts. She kept saying, "Oh my goodness!" and "That's amazing!" It was too precious.

Thanks Chels for all the pics! Stole them right off of your blog! Haha.

First Snow!

Addie had so much fun playing in the snow. We've had a lame winter so far, and even this little skiff disappeared in a few hours. Addie loved it while it lasted though!

Photo Booth

Addie asks to play with Photo Booth on the iPads or computer all the time. She giggles so much when her face twists and contorts, and she just loves watching herself move in it. Here are some of our escapades!

Thankful for Grandma!

There's just something special about all the Grandmas in Addie's life. Here's grandma Brown taking her for a stroll by their little stream! Addie kept trying to go in.

Grandma Hunzeker in Boulder, Colorado this past fall. What a fun trip!

This is Addie's Great Grandma Shirley! :) Addie kept saying, "Come on Grandma. Come outside." It was so precious. Addie is literally pulling her.

I think this one's cute because of the technology gap in these two generations!!! 80 years apart!

Everything my grandma does
is something special made with love.
She takes time to add the extra touch
that says, "I love you very much."

She fixes hurts with a kiss and smile
and tells good stories grandma-style.
It's warm and cozy on her lap
for secret telling or a nap.

And when I say my prayers at night
I ask God to bless and hold her tight.
Cause when it comes to giving hugs
my grandma's arms are filled with love!

Halloween!

Yes, I realize I'm posting about Halloween in December, but I never got around to it, okay? Ha ha. So this is our little Snow White on Halloween! She loves it. I'm pretty sure not a week has gone by since Halloween where she doesn't ask, "Momma? Go trick or treat?" It really is a hard concept to convey that it only comes around once a year!

The whole gang stopped by for a bit as we walked around Lindon right around Grandma and Grandpa's house! It was a fun night! I dressed Becky for her school (at 5:30 AM!) as one of the sisters from Hocus Pocus. Can you guess which one? Hint: We had to stuff her clothes to make her look fat!

Here's a closup of the AWESOME hair I did with a wire hanger. Addie was a little nervous...

Here's Addie with her Dad, walking up to a house. What a gorgeous night for Halloween! :)

Our little snow white. She LOVED the jewelry and high heels.

State Fair

We took some goobers known as the Bennions to the state fair this year. It was really fun :) Becky had never been, so she was pretty excited to eat fried twinkles and see huge cows. Ha ha.

Award: Cutest Apple In The BUNCH!

I love being this little one's momma! She's always doing the unexpected!

The girl is fearless. We need to work on that. It can be a problem sometimes!

A la crazy Bennion folks.

Great Wolf Lodge

This past summer, my family and I went to Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg the week before Becky's wedding. We had so much fun! It was a great time swimming, hanging out, playing games, getting pedicures, and eating good food. This is what the entryway looked like. It was all done in log cabin style with animals everywhere. It's a family destination, so it's all very family friendly!

It was record breaking heat in VA this past summer, so we were SO GLAD that the pool was inside. Out east, it's not fun to sit in an outdoor pool in the humidity for long periods of time. You just feel like you're in a swamp! Plus, they can't keep the pools cool enough! This crazy pool had a lazy river, tons of slides, baby pools, waterfalls... I mean, it was amazing. We went every day.

One of the days we went to the nearby Jamestown settlement. It is a really cool historic site where you can see how the early settlers lived. It's so interactive and fun. However, it was about a thousand degrees outside, so we could literally barely walk a mile without dripping sweat. This is Brooke and Brianna looking at the armor the soldiers wore.

I mean, can you see how bad we're all dying? Just look at Addie's pink cheeks! It was cool though. Definitely good to get inside for the video portion of the tour.

This, below, is just a shot of the fam hanging out at night back in the rooms. It was such a fun trip, and thanks everybody for making it so memorable! :)
